Music, singing, and playing instruments is an important part of the worship at Summer Creek Baptist Church. From the very beginning of our church we have been committed to singing songs that reflect and repeat biblical doctrine. Our desire is that the music portion of our worship magnifies our Lord and focuses on who God is and what He has done for us.
So what can you expect from the music ministry at Summer Creek Baptist?
Some might say that we are contemporary, but saying that alone can be pretty ambiguous. Some Sundays, we sing traditional hymns with piano accompaniment. Most of the time we utilize drums, keyboard, guitar, and bass. We have a worship team that rehearses each week in preparation for leading our church in worship. If you are musically inclined, there is a place for you to serve in this ministry.
Beginning in the fall of 2010, music will be incorporated into our children’s mid-week study entitled PraiseFactory (a resource of Capital Hill Baptist Church). We will use this time to teach children the traditional hymns of the Baptist faith. While this will not be a children’s choir, it will broaden their understanding of our Christian heritage and tradition.
Fall 2010 – We are searching for a full-time music/youth minister
