Paul Lyle serves as pastor of Summer Creek Baptist Church in Houston, TX. Paul is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelors in Architecture and a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a Bachelors in Church Music, magna cum laude. Paul also holds an M.Div from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Paul’s professional career includes CRSS Architecture where he was a computer animator. He left CRSS to co-found Zero Gravity Inc., a computer animation firm. After God’s call to ministry upon Paul’s life, he worked for one year as an animation consultant for PageSouthernlandPage and attended school. Upon graduating from HBU, Paul became the contemporary worship leader and youth minister at Woodridge Baptist Church in Kingwood, TX. During his service at Woodridge he developed “His Voice Ministries,” a 100 voice youth choir that included puppets, drama, and dance groups. This ministry served in the church and on missions both locally and across the border in Mexico.

Paul has written, arranged, and directed music for both vocal and instrumental groups. Along with his music experience, Paul’s love for God’s Word has led him to write curriculum for youth camps and to speak at many events and camps throughout his time at Woodridge.

As pastor of Summer Creek, Paul continues to involve himself and his church in the community to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. If it is God’s will, Paul hopes to lead the church in its first building program to build a church on its property right outside the Summerwood community and next door to Summer Creek High School in two to three years.

Paul is married to Ramona, his high school sweetheart. She works as a pharmacist in the Houston area and they have three children.
